The role:
The National Conservatoire of Wales is looking for a dynamic and experienced individual to provide leadership inthe planning, teaching, assessing Voice, Speech & Text across a range of modules in the Acting and Musical Theatredepartments, contributing to the currency and world-leading position of the curriculum.
The post-holder will have a proven and verifiable record of work as a voice, text and dialect coach with performersfor a range of different media and in both a professional and/or drama training context. They will need to bepassionate advocates for conservatoire education and be ready to work collaboratively with all RWCMD colleaguesand professional partners in order to enable and promote an institutional reputation for pioneering, immersiveprofessional education in Music and Drama.
The Acting Department encompasses undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Acting for Stage, Screen andRadio and Musical Theatre. Over the last 15 years the department has developed into one of the UK’s leadingproviders of Acting training. With the appointment of Jonathan Munby in 2020, leading the Acting programme asDirector of Performance and Artistic Director of The Richard Burton Company (RWCMD’s professionally-focusedtheatre company), the College is looking to expand the courses it offers, establish more meaningful partnershipsacross the UK and develop further its international reputation.
