The External Affairs team aims to connect, inspire and innovate to share the RWCMD story with the world.
The Head of Digital & Brand leads all aspects of marketing and communications, as a key aspect of the External Affairs directorate. The role heads up a team of people, currently comprising: Digital Editor, External Affairs Manager, External Affairs Assistant.
Based in Cardiff, you will report to the Director of External Affairs and will work closely with the Head of Strategic Engagement, Head of Creative Programme and other senior managers, including the Principal and the Directors of Music, Drama, Development and Student Experience.
A creative communicator with a strong record in delivering ambitious campaigns, you will coordinate the design, development, planning and delivery of the College’s profile strategy, focused on driving a strong, planned creative narrative with impact measurement monitored. You will lead communication at all levels and will represent the College in a range of internal and external contexts including Welsh language responsibilities. You will be expected to contribute to new thinking in corporate development and to have the ability to translate interesting and innovative ideas into action.
This is a full time role with a challenging portfolio encompassing every aspect of the College’s interface with potential students, audience members, funding bodies, supporters and other stakeholders.
If you are a successful external candidate for this position, you will be employed by Professional and Support Services Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of the University of South Wales, which provides services to the University and Colleges. If you are an internal candidate, you will continue to be employed by the University of South Wales Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama.
