Production strategy:
Production work at RWCMD places professional performance and exhibition at the heart of all its training, achieving a high profile for this work and the development of a loyal, annual audience of 55,000 engaging in all that the College’s artistic community (the largest in Wales) offers. College productions include the range of performances, concerts, showcases, exhibitions and events generated across all College departments for a range of purposes. There is a huge variety that also extends to student-led initiatives within a thriving REPCo programme, College on-tour and community outreach, College-wide events and external hires.
The College Board has recently approved an updated financial strategy for the next 5 years which includes proposals to invest in the Production delivery process. Key to this is the creation of this new senior role to bring together and support and develop the work that currently resides within several College departments across the Academic Departments and extending into the Workshop, Technical Operations, Academic Services and Creative Programming.
