The University of South Wales is seeking to appoint an experienced Curator and Academic in the field of Visual Art to maintain, develop and promote the Museum Status University Art Collection and the Oriel y Bont Gallery Exhibition Programme in support of the University mission.

To achieve this the University collaborates with external partners at a regional, national and international level, to develop graduates who are able to demonstrate creative skills, graduate attributes, and professional behaviours appropriate to the needs of employers now, and in the future.
The role holder will be expected to provide operational management of the University of South Wales Oriel Y Bont Gallery and maintenance of the University’s Museum Status Art Collection, including liaison with Welsh Government Organisations.
Applicants for the post should be able to demonstrate a proven track record in curating, installing and promoting exhibitions that successfully engage diverse public audiences, in addition to excellent knowledge of the contemporary art world and ability to encourage collaborative, scholarly activity and research in relation to the visual arts and across the spectrum of academic disciplines within the university.
